About Me
Taisia Kompaniets
My background is in a teaching, piano performance and accompaniment. I graduated with three diplomas in Kyiv, Ukraine, including a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Music in Music education. I also studied piano performance and participated in several national and international music competitions. In Ukraine I ran a successful piano studio with students of all ages for 6 years. Now, based in Spokane, I am pursuing my passion for music through educating students in piano, growing my studio as well as accompanying in Eastern Washington University and engaging in the local music community.

Fifteen years ago I used to play the piano and never sat down at the piano again. Recently I felt a very strong desire to get back to playing again. There were many fears that I had forgotten everything. That I wouldn't be able to play even one chord, that my hands wouldn't listen to me. But I was lucky to have Taisia as my teacher! She has such an individual approach to work that I felt comfortable literally from the very first minutes!!!
I was relaxed, my fears were gone and it was pure pleasure!
I am so happy that I can study with her again, that I am rediscovering the world of music. And that I have Taisia is my attentive and competent guide.
